♥Happy 6th Birthday, Katie-poo♥

I can't believe she's 6 already!!!

(I know I must write that on everyone's birthday posts...but seriously, where does the time go!?!)

 Isabel bought Kaitlin a new elephant...with her own money!!!
It was very nice!

And Sophie bought her a bunch of Babar elephant goodies.

Jamie was fortunate enough to take the day off work today, so we spent the afternoon at Wild Rivers. It wasn't too crowded and the weather was perfect.

 Our little, er BIG, six year old!

 Phew...made it down the slide!

 Ackk...I'm getting wet!!!

 We were so glad Daddy was with us today! He's the perfect one to ride all the big slides with Katie-poo...our bravest one yet!

 After some coaxing, Katie-poo got Beli to go down this one with her (twice!). This slide was not meant for men! All the guys who got off it were in a bit of pain, so Jamie passed on this one!

Katie-poo was even brave enough to go down this slide all by herself! See the video below...

Kaitlin had a ton of fun at Wild Rivers...we all did!
Then it was off to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory!
The celebration continued with an elephant cake and a new elephant shirt from Aunt Lauren!

 And then we stopped off for a visit with Nana and Papa...and Foxy!

 The girls just adore that dog!!!

Last but not least, we ended the night with some Disneyland fireworks...from the Mimi's parking lot! Uncle Eric came, too, and supplied the music for the night!

It was a pretty perfect day...for a pretty perfect little girl!

A few things about our happy little Katie-poo.

She...

talks in her sleep...a lot

likes to make everyone happy, all of the time

loves to sing and dance...just not always in front of other people

is in love with every elephant thing she comes across

still loves all thing purple and girly

is totally silly

talks like she's a New Yorker...where she got that accent, we have no idea

is very sensitive and cries easily

is by far our most even-tempered little one

is so easy to please

still falls down a lot, but not as much as she used to...whew!

loves to eat...rice and pasta are among her most favorite foods

likes to read everything that has words on it

has a funny little giggle that makes us laugh whenever we hear it

loves to cuddle and just be touching someone

just has a way of warming the hearts of everyone who is around her!

6 months old

Kaitlin was always a very serious, perplexed baby...so different from how she is now!

She still crinkles up her forehead when she's thinking about something and concentrating, though.

7 months old

We couldn't imagine life without you...you make our world go round!

We love you
