Since Isabel and Kaitlin both have the week off for Spring Break, Jamie decided he should take some time off work too...and come play with us! We also realized that we have never taken a family vacation with just the five of us. (Actually, Jamie and I have never taken any of the girls on vacation without other family member around too.) So, we took a little mini-vacation to San Diego and our trip started off at the San Diego Wild Animal Park! We have still been on the quest to find elephants for Kaitlin (since the LA Zoo only had one that was too far away to see) and after MUCH searching, we finally found some...but it sure wasn't easy!

The entire time we stood in the (long) line for the safari tour we told Kaite-poo we were FINALLY going to see her elephants (we had been searching for them for a couple hours by now)! Until we got to the front of the line and didn't see any elephants on the list. Poor kid! Here's some of what we did see... 
Unfortunately for Beli, we didn't see any monkeys...be we searched long and hard for them too. She says the gorillas that we did see don't count.

The elephants seemed to be tucked away in the most peaceful place in the park. They were all by themselves and couldn't have been more perfect. There were even a couple cute little baby elephants!
(We talked about elephants most of the day...they are my favorite too!)

Jamie and I hadn't been to The Wild Animal Park in years, so we weren't really sure what to expect. Nicole warned me it has a lot of hills...and man, she was right. And it's kind of a confusing place...we spent a lot of time searching the map. But nonetheless, we all had a great time. The sun was shinning, it was nice and warm and it was a PERFECT day!
And so you made fun of me for getting so fancy with my Harrison's soccer pics...Look at you go! The pics look great though and like you had a wonderful time!
