...because it's her week...it seems!
Today at school, Katie-poo got her first Eagle Award for working hard in class! And because she's "just fabulous"...ok, that's not a reason why she got the eagle award, but Mrs. Allen did write that to me in an email this afternoon. We all think she's just fabulous too! Can you tell we love her?!?
I also took Katie-poo to a chiropractor this evening to see if something can be done about her intoeing. We've seen a few doctors and specialists over the past few years who all said she may or may not grow out of it by the time she is 9 years old. 9!!! After yesterday's fall and bruised head, we decided we would really rather not wait until she is 9 to see if her hips and tibias correct themselves. I feel so bad that she trips over her own feet...all the time! It doesn't seem to faze her anymore, but the bump on her head sure fazed me.
So, the chiropractor has us starting some exercises and told us she needs to wear shoes with an arch because her feet roll in...which doesn't help her situation. Dr. Ellison is also going to call about getting an orthotic, but she's not sure if she can get one made in her small shoe size. I'm just hoping this isn't going to cost us an arm and a leg! Eek! Katie-poo also got a slight adjustment on her hips...even I could feel that one side was out. We'll be going back in 2 weeks...
