When Jamie and I finally rolled out of bed this morning...at 11am...we realized it was cloudy and raining. So, we hoped in the car and drove down to Disneyland hoping the clouds would stick around long enough for us to enjoy some rides without the usual July heat.
On our way into the park, we saw Camille, Jason and Michael walking out of the park...we see them around more than anyone else we know!
We started off with getting fast passes for Thunder Mountain. Then headed to Pirates...but it broke down right before we got to the front of the line. Since Sophie had to go potty (of course!) anyway, we got out of line and headed to redeem our fast passes. We had to stand in line a whole 3 minutes before we were on the train...fast passes are definitely the way to go for that ride. On our way back to get the stroller, Pirates opened back up just as we stood at the entrance...so we lucked out there as well.
Since it was getting hot out, Jamie and I tried to convince Isabel to go on Splash Mountain...she lucked out that the line was 80 minutes and the fast passes were for 3 hours in advance. Next time it's blazing hot out...she's definitely going on.
We hit up Winnie the Pooh and a couple other rides before calling it a day. Once the clouds parted ways, it was just miserably hot out there. Now I remember why Jamie and I used to always come in the evenings...it's so much cooler then!
