♥ Happy 8th Birthday, Isabeli! ♥

Isabel turns 8 today! Wow!!

All Isabel wanted to do for her birthday was swim with her sisters and cousins...easy enough! So we got everyone together and had a fun little bbq at Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate her day.

She started the day off with a few presents...including her new bike!

And ice cream for breakfast!

Daddy asked what she wanted, and that's what she chose.

And then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's for a whole lot of swimmin'!

 And lots and lots of jumping!

 Daddy grilled us up some hot dogs, chicken and carne asada! Mmmm...

 Isabel had the choice between an ice cream cake and having me bake a cake...she obviously picked an oreo cake...which she's had her eye on for a couple years now.

 The usual gang was there, joined by Gran Gran, Grandpa Greg, Nana, Papa, Kevin and Micah.

Since it's a black out date for us Deluxe pass holders, I thought we could at least go to Downtown Disney to watch the fireworks...but Uncle Eric and Kevin did us one better and signed us all in to Disneyland to send Isabel's birthday off with a bang!

 I didn't really think this picture would work...but it did!

 Since Colie was with us, we had to take her up on the offer to take the girls on the Tea Cups...she's the only one brave enough (or with a stomach made of steel) to go on the ride.

 I just love all the colors in these.

 We got on quite a few rides in the few hours we were there plus Isabel got a bit of shopping in. That money she got 2 hours earlier was burning a hole in her pocket!

And I got my highest score yet...by almost 100,00 point...230,200!

Isabel had a great birthday...she told me so herself!

likes to hang out in her room listening to music (Justin Bieber) and read magazines

is quiet, reserved and oh so sweet

has the most infectious laugh

can steal your heart with one look from those big, beautiful brown eyes!

If there's one thing I'm hoping to teach Isabel, it's to worry less and enjoy life more! (this coming from the person who worries when I forget what I was worrying about...but it makes me much more of an expert.) Life has a way of working itself out, whether you worry about it or not.

We are so, so happy to have you in our lives, Isabel!
You have become quite the young lady...you make us so proud.
