Since we have our Italy trip planned in just a couple months, Jamie couldn't take time off for Spring Break this year. So, I decided to keep it simple. We're still doing stuff the girls love to do...just a little more laid back than last year. As long as the girls are having fun...that's all that matters!
First stop...Disneyland!
Of course we had to go on the hottest day of the week. Unfortunately, my pass expired today, so it was the only day we could go. It turned out nice though...heat and all! It was pretty crowded, but that was to be expected. We were there for a solid 8 hours and we actually got a lot done, despite all the crowds. Nicole, Adelyn , Camille and Michael joined us for a few hours too.
A bunch of the characters were out in full force...but we only made it to a few before they went in for breaks.
Ariel always seems to be one of the nicest princesses. She took time to talk to each girl!
And geez, The Fairy Godmother was a chatty one...as we stood in the sun!
She asked the girls how old they each were, and Sophie and Adelyn are so smart that they kept up their cover and said they were two! Maybe it's time I buy Sophie a pass!?!
An amazing group picture...all smiles...even after standing in line in the blazing sun!
Sophie, Logan, Adelyn, Kaitlin, Isabel & Michael
These sweet smiles make it all worth it!
Deep in thought...and probably a bit hot. (Are you sensing a theme here? It was hot!)
For the first time in a long time, there were actually 2 trains running for Casey Jr. The line was so short!
It was a perfect day for an ice cream treat!
These frozen lemonade things were perfect...they ate half and then saved half, which melted into lemonade that they drank. Something to remember for our summer trips to Disneyland.
So, in 8 hours we got to visit with a few characters, eat lunch, catch a quick Mary Poppins show, ride the carousel, Snow White, Pinocchio, Casey Jr, take an frozen lemonade/frozen banana break, go on Haunted Mansion, watch the Tiki birds sing (a perfect place to escape the heat), shoot stuff on the Buzz ride, visit Toon Town and ride the train out of the park. Seems like a full day to me!
