...and Daddy too!
It was a good week for us...Isabel was awarded Student of the Month for the school, Mrs. Allen thinks Kaitlin is ready for AR tests (Accelerated Reading), Isabel is soaring through her (almost) daily math tests, and they each got excellent report cards.
Jamie took the morning off from work and we surprised Isabel (and Kaitlin) by showing up at the flag assembly. Isabel was pretty stoked when she heard her name called as Student of the Month. Thankfully, we got the letter in the mail this time. (Shhh...we'll be back next month, according to Mrs. Allen!) It was an impossible 2 weeks...I hate keeping secrets; I wanted to tell Isabel so many times.
As for the report cards, both girls are right on track! As we know, Kaitlin is reading and will begin the AR tests, even though she's a little nervous about it. I'm not really the kind of mom who pushes my kids to get straight A's, but I want to make sure that Kaitlin knows ALL that she is capable of! Her report card says, "she is well liked by her peers and can be counted on to be a leader in class." Isabel is on a steady streak of passing her math tests, even the subtraction tests. She "is a nice and respectful student who is progressing in all academic areas. ...Isabel has great behavior and she sets a wonderful example for others to follow."
Just those 3 sentences that were written about Isabel and Kaitlin is enough to make any parent beam with pride! Keep up the amazing work, girls!

Good job girls!
