♥ Happy Birthday, Katie-poo ♥

Katie-poo turned 5 today!
Where did the past 5 years go?!?

The day started with Katie-poo waking up in my bed, with me! She requested a sleepover in our bed, so we banished Daddy, and snuggled all night. When she got up, she was surprised at all the decorations downstairs and a pile of presents. (I love our tradition of decorating the house for birthdays around here.)

Next, we were off to Disneyland to celebrate the day. We got up early and met up with Gran Gran, Grandpa and Grandma at the park in the morning, trying to get some time in before the heat hit. I'm really becoming a fan of going in the morning...we got to do so much and see a bunch of characters, which always makes the girls happy!

The Birthday Girl!
On our way to Small World, we noticed the line to visit with the princesses was unusually short. We watched one of the stories being told by Cinderella and then hoped in line to visit with Ariel, Belle and Jasmine. Katie-poo was so excited to meet Ariel...her favorite princess!
Ariel was definitely the friendliest of the princesses!
Relaxing in our 13 minutes of nice, cool air conditioning in Small World.
I was fortunate enough to get to ride every ride with Katie-poo. I felt so loved!
Honey Pot pictures!
Yes, that's a big clump of cotton candy in Sophie's hair.
Gran Gran was kind enough to buy the girls a tub of cotton candy...one for each of them!
She sure makes that cotton candy look good!
Katie-poo & Winnie the Pooh
It was pretty hot today (the news said it was going to be 92 degrees), but it was a really nice day at Disneyland. It was a lot cooler in the shade and it wasn't very crowded...especially for a summer weekend.

After about 6 hours, we called it quits and went swimming at Grandpa and Grandma's house to cool off a bit. Katie-poo said she had a fun day and that seeing Winnie the Pooh at Disneyland was her favorite part. We ended our night with a trip to spend some gift cards at Target and time to play with all of Katie-poo's new gifts. She was very happy!

Thank you to everyone for helping make her day so fun!

Welcome to the family, Kaitlin!
Daddy got to pick your name...it was his turn.
I got to pick the spelling...sorry, no one will ever be able to spell it correctly.
I must admit, I had no idea what to do with all that crazy hair.
You have always been a beauty!
(And still sleep with your mouth open like that. =)
Kaitlin, you are such happy, silly, caring, nurturing, compassionate little girl. You have the amazing ability to draw everyone to you by just being you. You have the funniest little laugh, that makes us laugh whenever you do! You are completely unselfish in everything you do. You have an endless supply of hugs to give...and we are all happy to receive them from you. You are so smart and amaze us everyday as we watch you grow and learn. You make our hearts happy.

We are so fortunate to know you.
We love you so very much!
